Diana Trepkov was the speaker at the June 2024 meeting of the Appleby Women’s PROBUS Club of Burlington. What an inspiring and informative presentation! Diana’s story of overcoming a serious health challenge, and the mystery of her own infant brother’s grave, led to a determination to help others through the science of forensic anthropology. She clearly explained the techniques she uses to create a lifelike portrait from skeletal remains, and also showed us examples of her artist sketches based on descriptions of missing persons.
Diana was also responsible for bringing to life one of the sailors from the Franklin Arctic Expedition, after the remains of the crew were discovered.
Diana is a dynamic speaker, and her story, both personal and professional, is inspiring. Our PROBUS group thoroughly enjoyed her presentation, and many purchased her books after the talk.
